This guide will explain the setup, configuration and maintenance of your Athena Expert Advisor.

Before you continue

Before continuing, please make sure you have completed the Basics tutorial and you have successfully prepared the following:

✅ VPS connection
✅ MetaTrader 4 platform or MetaTrader 5 platform
✅ Trading account login

v6.0 - MetaTrader 5 Update (06.23.2025)​

  • Improved Risk Management
    • If a trade opened with the maximum lot size results in a loss, the lot size for the next trade will automatically reset to the starting lot size.
    • This reduces exposure and enhances capital protection during drawdowns.
  • Reduced Maximal Drawdown
    • Significant reduction in both Balance Drawdown Maximal and Equity Drawdown Maximal.
    • This indicates a more stable trading experience with less severe account equity fluctuations.

v5.0 - MetaTrader 5 Update (12.02.2024)​

  • updated order creation for the MetaTrader 5 version of the EA
    • orders are now placed with proper SL and TP
    • orders no longer require updates to SL and TP after they are opened
  • fixed stoploss calculation method
